My Trip to Italy

Hello Everyone,

I have been meaning to get this post up for over a week but I have been so busy with a sick baby and lots of return phone calls and emails and sessions. As many of you know I recently went to Lake Como in Italy with one of my clients for a week to photograph her parents 30th wedding anniversary. She and her brother and sister-in-law flew me over to document the trip as a gift to them. It was such an honor to be hired to go do this for them. They are such a wonderful family! Every time I work for them I have so much fun. This family's events are alway first class in every way. They are beyond anything I could have ever imagined! Thank you for such a wonderful experience! I will always treasure my memories of this trip.

Due to my privacy agreement with the family you will not see any pictures of them.

I wanted to share some of the sites with all of you. As you look through the pictures I will note what you are seeing.

These are just a few of the images from my trip...I hope you enjoy them!

This is a view of the town from the car, that I took while driving in.

This is an example of the streets there. they are so narrow that traffic is stopped at the intersection then cars are allowed to go through one direction at a time. As you can see there are really no sidewalks either and the cars just zoom by. It is very nerve racking to walk the streets there!!!!
The beautiful church in Cernobbio, the town where we stayed

These are photos of the beautiful Villa d Este where my clients stayed. It was built in the 1500's as a residence for a Cardinal I believe. It is truly stunning!!! The hotel has received every award possible including number 1 hotel and spa in the world! That is quite an achievement. It's gardens and mosaic garden wall are world famous. It is such a beautiful setting.

this is the world famous mosaic wall and Cypress Alley

A view of the lake from the lakeside of the hotel
View of the Villa d Este from the back of the boat

Below is George Clooney's Villa Margheritabelow is a villa where they filmed the honeymoon scene in Star Wars Episode II, they have also filmed scenes from The Godfather and The Sopranos there

This is the gorgeous hillside restaurant where we had lunch one day. It overlooked the hills, lake and the town of Tremezzo.

All of the guests received one of these very funny little books and a book mark with their initial on it...very cute!

This is the table setting for the big anniversary dinner...Some of the fireworks that they had that night for their anniversary

These are the owners of the hotel where I stayed. Their names are Victoria and Mossimo. They run a charming 200 year old B&B that is exactly what you think of Italy as being. They are wonderful hosts! The name of their hotel is the Terzo Crotto and it is in Cernobbio, Italy. I would recommend staying there if you are in town. Thank you for your company, I really enjoyed our conversations!
How pretty is the Terzo Crotto!!!
below is a shot of their dining room. It is just beautiful! They serve wonderful gourmet meals at dinner!

Below is the restauraunt where we had dinner the last night. The name of the restraunt is Nabedamo. The food is AMAZING and the atmosphere is unbeatable. They have fresh flowers everywhere and they are lit like artwork. The floral arrangements were like nothing I had ever seen before and the scent of the flowers filled the entire place.

The above photo is of Adriano Bortolli. He is the man who drove the anniversary couple around Italy 30 years ago on their honeymoon. They have come back to him every year for thirty years. These days he owns his own Limo and touring company. He can plan your entire trip around Italy for you. He knows everyone there is to know and can get ANYTHING done for you! Thank you Adriano for making my trip so great! I appreciated your company and wonderful suggestions on what to eat and which wines to try on my journey through your spectacular country!

I will have further contact information for all of these locations soon! I hope you enjoyed these images and that all of you get to experience Italy someday. It is such a beautiful country full of warm, energetic people. I can't wait to come back with my husband! Adriano...I WILL be giving you a call. I have your number programmed into my phone!!!!!!!!

CIAO! For now!
