Future Photographer???

I took these pictures of my little Luke the other day...He was so cute playing with the old camera. He asked me how to turn it on! After he let me take a couple of pictures we went on a "Photo Safari" through the house. We had a great time taking pictures of imaginary animals together. 3 is such a fun age, exhausting, but fun!

Enjoy!

Fletcher...My Recent Inspiration

I got to spend Saturday morning with little Fletcher for his 2 year portraits. I can't believe how much he has grown over the past 2 years! I have had so much fun photographing him since he was a bump in his mom's tummy. As usual, he was an inspiration to me. When I got home and I was going through his pictures I just loved the colors and tones in the photographs...needless to say, it got me thinking about the face lift that my blog has been needing. I decided to go with it and changed the look of the blog. I hope that you all like the changes!

Fletcher is going to have a new baby brother this winter. I am so excited and can't wait to start photographing him as well!!! Brooke and Paul, thank you for letting me document your growing family, it really is an honor!

Enjoy!

Adorable Austin

This is precious little Austin. He is so adorable! We spent the morning at the Arboretum a couple of weeks ago to photograph him for his one year portrait. (Yep, I am still trying to catch up!) I can't believe he is one already!!! Anyway, Austin has such beautiful blue eyes. I had to post most of them in color...I just couldn't turn them to black and white! They are such a bright blue as you can see below. They blow me away. He is a little ham too.

It was great to see you guys again...I will see you soon!

Little Addison

Here is another "catch-up" post...

Meet little Addison. She is such a cutie pie!!! I was so excited to meet her. I have been photographing her big sister for a few years now and it was great to get to photograph the newest addition.

We did some studio shots and we also used my little garden at my new house. I love the way they turned out. The bird bath, tree and ivy all look so cute with the girls in them.

I couldn't resist a couple of her big sister too...I love the last one...it is so summertime!

Enjoy!

The Houghton Family

OK, now for some catch up posting!

This family is so amazing! I always have a great time photographing them. I feel so fortunate to have been present to photograph their two youngest children's births. I photographed them again at the end of June. Their oldest son just graduated from Highland Park and was about to head out to do his Mission work so we did a quick family session before he left.

Congratulations Stephen! I know your parents are SO proud of you! I look forward to seeing you again. Best Wishes for your future!!

Where Have I Been???

Many of you know that we recently moved. We love our new home and are finally settled in! It was certainly a long process for all of us, at least as far as the pool went. I won't bore you with the details but the short version is that the deck around the pool had to be dug up twice. We finally got a sparkling pool out of it though. We are all enjoying it very much...next project...the landscaping (and patio furniture!!!)

I thought I would share some "during" and a couple "after" pictures...check out my adorable little worker:)

BEAUTIFUL, YEAH, RIGHT!

MY LITTLE LUKE...HE LOVES TO HELP!
FINALLY, CLEAN, SPARKLING WATER!
I LIKE TO CALL THIS LAST ONE "SUBURBIA." YES, THOSE ARE MY FEET! I WAS DOING MY VERSION OF THE PHOTOS MY MOM TOOK WHEN I WAS LITTLE AND SWIMMING IN THE POOL...HER TOES WERE ALWAYS IN THE SHOT (SORRY MOM BUT IT'S TRUE!)
