Why Is There A Verizon Yellow Pages On My Blog?

Back in January my good friend and fellow photographer Sandra Lynch called me to tell me she got the job to photograph the cover for the Verizon Yellow Pages. The concept was such a fun one...One top Athlete from each of the main sports teams here in DFW. I went along with her to help her out and it was so much fun! We worked with Mike Modano of the Stars, Jason Whitten from the Cowboys, Jerry Stackhouse from the Mavericks and Michael Young from the Texas Rangers. Each one of the Athletes were super to work with! They couldn't have been nicer and it was a lot of fun to come home with the autographs for my 10 year old (who, all of a sudden, thought I had the coolest job ever!)

Anyway, today I got home to find that my copy of the phone book had arrived, YEAH! I immediately called Sandy to tell her...It was so fun to see it on the doorstep. I just thought I would share with everyone. We had to keep it to ourselves so it is fun to talk about it now.

Congratulations on a job well done Sandy!!!

There are 4 different covers going around the Metroplex...Which athlete did you get? (Vote in my poll at the top left)

So Excited!

I though this was fun and I wanted to share with everyone...the picture below is from a session I did earlier this year for this little guys modeling portfolio. I was speaking to his mom today and , while I knew he got signed and was working, I didn't know that he is currently being featured in a national campaign for JC Penny. Way to go Bryce! I am so happy for you!! It is so cool to think that the pictures I took and the comp cards I made were able to help him land this gig. With those good looks I am sure this little guy will get plenty of call backs in the future!!!!

The Wicker Children

I spent the morning photographing these 3 little cuties. We started at the wildflowers then moved back to the studio to finish up. They were little troopers and did a great job. Mom, I know that we had to reschedule this session several times but I think it was worth it. I got some terrific images, it was hard for me to choose just these!

Enjoy!

Little Liam

I had the pleasure of meeting precious little Liam last week and photographing him with his beautiful mommy. He is such a little doll! I couldn't get enough of him he was just so adorable! He was the first little model for my baby wraps that I have made for my newborn sessions...he really seemed to like being in it.

Erin and Robert, Congratulations on another beautiful little bundle. I look forward to seeing you again soon!

Enjoy!

My Mother's Day Present

I LOVE Orchids! I definitely have a thing for them. When I received this one for Mother's Day I just knew I would have to photograph it on the brown background. I absolutely love the results! Thank you to Rob, Austin and Luke, I love it and I love you!

The Studley Family

Here is the last post from the Wildflower Sessions. It was so cold the morning that I met with the Studley family. The poor little kiddos were none too happy about being out there! They toughed it out though and I was able to get some cute shots.

Sweet Little Will

The Gaffney Children

I had the pleasure of photographing these 2 little cuties again in the wildflowers. They were great and little Ashlyn's face lit up when she saw all of the dogs in the park. One gentleman was nice enough to bring his dog over for some lovin from the kids. They really enjoyed it. Looks like you will need to be bringing home a dog sometime soon...

Enjoy!

Even More Cousins in the Wildflowers

Here are a few more cousins...it was a week full of them! These little girls were adorable! It was a lot of fun to see Miss Claire again and meet her cousins.

Luke Decided That We Need New Wallpaper

The other day while I was outside on the phone, my youngest son Luke decided that it was time for some new wallpaper and thought he would help out by ripping down the old paper. He was NOT alone in the house, both my older son (who was 10 feet away on the computer) and my husband were in the house with him. It was one of those times when my husband realized that it was just a little too quiet in the house (if you have kids or dogs you know what I am talking about!) and he came around the corner to find this mess. I heard him declare "LUKE, NO NO!" from outside. I knew it was going to be trouble when I got in there...I NEVER expected to see this mess...I have to say that I completely agree with Luke's assessment though and have wanted to rip the ugly paper off of the wall many times myself:) Looks like we will be getting new wallpaper now...Thanks for your help sweetie!

More Cousins in the Wildflowers

Here are a few of some adorable little cousins from their Wildflower session last week. They are all so adorable! I think I have the cutest clients in the world. I mean it! Brooke and Jill, thanks for bringing your children out to see me. It was so nice to meet the girls and see little Fletcher again.

I am trying to get all of the pictures posted as quickly as I can so please bear with me. There are so many more sessions left to post. So if you don't see yours yet, stay tuned...

Enjoy!
